The Brazilian Journal of Biosystems Engineering (BIOENG) publishes original research presenting theoretical, experimental, and computational advances in agricultural and environmental systems. It emphasizes applications that support the sustainable development of agricultural and animal biosystems. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary contributions and prioritizes topics aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Brazilian Journal of Biosystems Engineering (BIOENG) was classified as B2 in the CAPES Qualis evaluation (2021–2024 cycle) across multiple knowledge areas, including: Biodiversity; Biotechnology; Food Science; Agricultural Sciences I; Environmental Sciences; Engineering I, II, III and IV; Geosciences; Geography; Interdisciplinary; Materials; and Zootechny/Fisheries Resources.
